Today's Frustrating Search Experience

Think about it.  Today's search model is a very inefficient way to market.  As well as a frustrating endeavor for the end user. 

First, the advertiser has to be found in the search engines. Which means he must have a website.  Effective websites are rare.  And very expensive to build, SEO, SEM, PPC, and maintain.

The end user starts  his search by typing a search string into the search engine, trying to be as specific as possible (e.g. mexican restaurants 37064) in order to reduce the number of irrelevant search results.  

If the advertiser's listing is not found on the first page of the search engine results pages, his chances of someone cliking on his link is infinitesimal.  Unfortunately, most end users only look and clik on the first 5 listings in the serps.  

The search engine then delivers a text-based listing of only 10 organic search results, determined by its algorithm's analysis of what you mean.  Rankings are supposedly based on relevance but anyone that has ever used a search engine has been frustrated with spam. 

Pay per clik listings are shown down the right side, solely determined by who has the deepest pockets.  If you use Google Maps, only 10 text static listings are shown on the left side with the same 10 static search results shown on the map.

If the end user wants to change categories (e.g. find an Italian restaurant near his hotel), he must start a brand new search and hope to find something nearby.

There has to be a better way to market!  And to search!

ClikitySplit is location-based.  At logon, a default map loads based on the end user's IP address.  If he wants to change the default location, he types:

  • the city and state (e.g. brentwood tn)
  • or the zip code (37027)

in the "Search by Location" box on the top right panel and hits enter.

ClikitySplit is very visual.  ClikitySplit requires very little typing.  For example, if the end user wants to find a restaurant, his search routine is just this simple:

  • mouseover "Restaurants"
  • cliks on the type of cuisine (say Steak)  

Immediately, only "Steak restaurants" are displayed on the map via green dots and red dots.  The red dots signify that an advertiser uses our proprietary "dynamic billboards" to market in real time his special offers and other information to the end user.  The green dots are static and contain limited information like Google Maps.

If the end user now wants to check out "Seafood restaurants", he just

  • mouses over "Restaurants"
  • cliks on "Seafood"  

Immediately, only "Seafood restaurants" are displayed on the map.

After dinner, say his wife wants to go shopping nearby.  The end user just

  • mouses over "Retail/Shopping"
  • cliks on the desired subcategory (e.g. Children's Clothing)

and immediately only "Children's clothing stores" are shown on the map.

Nothing is easier or faster!  And an awesome time saver and frustration reducer.

Patent Pending

Before the development of ClikitySplit was commenced in 2007, a thorough "prior art search" was conducted by an experienced PhD who literally lives at the patent office during the day.  His conclusion was that there was no patent pending on dynamic marketing technology.  That conclusion was further reinforced by our patent attorney who initially had concerns due to a US Supreme Court ruling in July 2007.  However, after he saw the technology in action, he also concluded that there was nothing like ClikitySplit with a patent pending.  The utility patent was filed on October 15, 2007.
